The Network Equity and Racial Justice Team is proud to share a workshop: Know Your Rights at Food Pantries. 

Session Description: 

In this client-focused workshop, participants will gain knowledge of their rights and responsibilities in accessing food assistance sites. We will share tools on how to locate a pantry in your area and your rights when you use a pantry. We will also discuss how to file a complaint if you experience mistreatment in a pantry.

This 60-minute workshop will help you achieve these learning outcomes: 

• Increase knowledge about what participants may be required to share when visiting a pantry

• Increase knowledge about rights and responsibilities for accessing food pantries

• Increase knowledge about how to file a complaint if a participant is mistreated in a pantry

• Increase knowledge about how to find food assistance sites using Food Finder
