COMMUNITY CARE & VOLUNTEER SUPPORT Register HERE
March 23, 2023 | 1:30 – 3:00 p.m.
Session Description: Within food assistance sites, in caring for our neighbors experiencing hunger, it is easy to forget to tend to the community who comes together to run the site. Burnout, exhaustion, frustration, loss of hope, and role confusion/lack of clarity can result from not having plans in place to support volunteers within food assistance sites. In this interactive workshop, we will identify signs of burnout, vicarious trauma, and role confusion. We will then develop plans to support volunteers who are struggling.
