Staff changes and position openings!
Ch-ch-changes! Our team is changing! Amy Powers' departure in February left an opening for the Manager of the Metro & Washington County Services Team, which we learned will now be led by two co-managers. We're excited to share that our own Jamie Truitt will be one manager, along with Rocky Nylund, the Founder of Mama's Community Market in Aumsville! (Some of you may remember Rocky's presentation at the Partner Agency Conference a few years ago — her pantry was the inspiration for Open Distribution!) Jamie's transition leaves a vacancy in our Washington County Food Assistance Network Strategist role.
The other announcement is that Carolina Negrón has accepted a new position with the OFB Community Food Systems team as the Community Food Systems Organizer! We are thrilled for Carolina and know she will do great things, but are sad to see her leave this team. Carolina will be with us through the end of May.
The Food Assistance Network Strategist positions are now both open on OFB's website. Please take a look if you are interested in joining our team or share with your networks! Applications will be accepted until the position is filled, with first review on June 3, 2022.
Thank you in advance for your patience and grace as we move through these transitions and hiring processes! Jamie will still be able to offer support to Washington county partners, and Courtney will assist the Clackamas County agencies.
