Power Differentials & Sexual Harassment
Tuesday, October 8th | 10:30 A.M. - 12:30 P.M. PST
An introduction to being able to define and identify instances of sexual harassment and its root causes, understand the role of allies to survivors of sexual harassment, identify personal agency to promote a work environment where sexual harassment is not tolerated, and practice tactics to be active bystanders for the prevention and response of sexual harassment.
Equity, Food Banking, & White Supremacy Characteristics

An introduction to understanding how to create and implement a more equitable experience within food banking to transform and counter dominant narratives that currently exist and are reinforced through the characteristics of a white supremacist culture.
Equity Foundations: Introduction to Decolonizing Frameworks
Thursday, October 24th | 10:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M. PST
An introduction to understanding and exploring the foundational concepts of culture, identity, and systemic inequities through the intentional lens of decolonization and anti racist frameworks to identify cultural and personal impacts of the social constructions of colonialism to culminate strategies we can implement to promote equity in the workplace and our daily lives. Please Note: This is an introductory version of the curriculum for our Network Equity Learning and Capacity Development Training (Formally Equity Institute).
Active Bystander Interventions for Microaggressions
Tuesday, November 5th | 10:30 A.M. - 12:30 P.M. PST
This highly interactive training session will focus on creating common understanding, as well as on the practice of the skills needed to intervene as an active bystander to address interpersonal conflict generated from colonialism such as white supremacy. This skill-set and practice is part of the needed systemic approach to addressing systemic oppression. We need tactics at the cultural level, institutional level, interpersonal level, and personal levels if we are to be successful in our common goal to bring about a more just world. This session focuses on interpersonal level tactics.
Intercultural Communication Tools through an Equity Lens
Thursday, November 14th | 10:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. PST
An introduction and self-exploration to recognizing the varied ways in which the intersections of identity and worldviews can change the nature of communication especially during conflict. This workshop addresses conflict involving disagreements and interpersonal tensions, not abuse and structural violence and is intended to equip participants with tools to work through conflict as a generative process for transformation.

Introduction to Intercultural Communication

An introduction to recognizing the varied ways in which culture and intersectionality change the nature of communication. This workshop reveals how culture affects communication and a primer on how to begin to implement practices to successfully navigate and honor these cultural differences. The workshop focuses on direct and indirect communication as well as preferred communication styles of high and low-context cultures. Please note: This is an introductory level to our upcoming training, Intercultural Communication Tools through an Equity Lens.
