🥕 Sourcing produce through Ample Harvest
With uncertainty around food flow, we want to do all we can to fight against the scarcity mindset. This is difficult to do when we see our shelves more bare than ever before, but there are still tools and resources to help connect our neighbors with fresh food.
Ample Harvest is a free, opt-in, nationwide registry that enables gardeners who've grown too much food to easily find food pantries in their area. Many times, backyard farmers and those with community garden plots grow an overabundance for themselves but don't have enough to share across the entire network. Gardeners are able to find pantries on the website and bring their surplus of locally grown, fresh food. All you have to do is register your pantry and let them know the days and times you want to receive fresh food!
