Double Up Food Bucks Ambassador Program - Now Recruiting for 2024!
The Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB) program at Oregon Food Bank is recruiting new members for the 2024 DUFB Ambassador Program. The focus of the program is to create a cohort of community leaders that provide direct outreach and education about the Oregon Double Up Food Bucks Program to SNAP recipients, with a focus on culturally responsive outreach efforts and improving program accessibility. Ambassadors receive a barrier mitigation stipend of $4,300 for a 12-month commitment and have $750 to cover any project related expenses (additional childcare funding is available as well). Interested applicants should fill out this form in English or Spanish, or reach out to Mason Durfee, (971.223.3358, mdurfee@oregonfoodbank.org).
Applications due January 31, 2024.
Recognizing the financial impacts structural inequities and discrimination have on members of our communities primarily based on race and gender, the program gives preference to immigrant and refugee communities, Black, Indigenous, and communities of color, trans and gender-nonconforming communities, and single mothers or caregivers.
More information about the program is available here.
