The first workshop is a two-part series.  

Session Description:

Often equity work is seen as something we do “out there” or “with community.” In this session, we ground our equity work in a shared vocabulary and our own stories and identities. We will learn terms and their meanings that are common in equity work. We will also practice vulnerability in our storytelling and how our stories may influence service delivery.

 Learning Experiences:

• Develop foundational knowledge in key terms in equity work  

• Increase understanding of one’s social identities 

• Increase understanding of how one’s social location may influence how we do our work in food pantries/banks
