2025 Equity Community of Practice Program Overview
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Equity Community of Practice Program is a bi-weekly space intended to convene members of Regional Food Banks (RFB) and Partner Agencies (PA) in Oregon and SW Washington. This virtual space is intended to support participants in experiencing and building on skills that sustain themselves in their equity work and build a robust social network among our service area.
Over the course of 8 sessions, starting in April 2025, the Network Equity & Racial Justice (NERJ) team will facilitate 2 hour sessions to:
Foster Connection - Reduce isolation by creating a supportive community where members can share ideas, experiences, and resources
Build Leadership Capacity - Equipping participants with practical strategies to influence policies, programs, and everyday interactions in their organizations
Encourage Collaborative Problem-Solving - Provide a space for dialogue around challenges, brainstorming opportunities, and sharing best practices
Deepen Self & Community Care - Balancing professional demands with self-care, promoting resilience, and longevity in equity work
Emphasize Action & Reflection - Integrate reflection opportunities to help participants identify next steps and apply new insights into their work
The NERJ team will offer discussion, practice, reflection and integration spaces throughout our time together to ensure participants have a fulfilling experience with each other and with themselves. Our hope is for you to be able to take on some of the inner work that equity work requires and embracing softness and tenderness is a hard world.
The Equity Community of Practice is an extension of our ongoing monthly sessions. If you already love our trainings and workshops, we would love to have you in this upcoming cohort!
