Company Announcement
DSD Merchandisers, Inc. of Livermore CA is recalling 2040 individual 10oz deli tubs of Roasted /Salted Deluxe Mixed Nuts, because they may contain undeclared peanuts. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.
Roasted /Salted Deluxe Mixed Nuts was distributed in Northern California, Nevada, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming for sale in grocery stores.
Roasted /Salted Deluxe Mixed Nuts, is in a clear plastic deli-style container. Net Weight is 10 oz. UPC 65143370994. Best Before dates of 12/28/20 and 01/01/21.
No illnesses have been reported to date.
The recall was initiated after it was discovered that the peanut-containing product was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of peanuts. Subsequent investigation indicates that DSD was mistakenly shipped cartons containing peanuts commingled with the correct product not containing peanuts from one of its suppliers. Production of the product has been suspended until FDA and the company are certain that the problem has been corrected.
Consumers who have purchased 10 ounce packages of "Roasted /Salted Deluxe Mixed Nuts," are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact the company at 1-925-449-2044.
