Grant Opportunity For Rural Agencies!
The Roundhouse Foundation is a collaborative investment organization that focuses on the long-term economic stability of Oregon's rural communities through strategic grant opportunities. They have seen the impacts of federal investment cuts on the food assistance landscape, and want to invest in our network partners serving our rural communities to ensure rural Oregonians facing poverty continue to have access to healthy local food. The opportunities are detailed below:
- Technical Assistance and Professional Development
- Grants up to $5,000 for organizational capacity, like equipment purchase, training, or strategic planning.
- Apply by November 30th
- Local Food Purchase
- Grants to purchase food from local farmers, growers, ranchers, growers, and more.
- Up to $6,000 for food pantries and gleaners, up to $2,500 for summer meal/backpack programs
- Apply by October 31
- Mobile Distribution and Vehicle Purchase
- Up to $25,000 to support vehicle purchasing to support mobile distribution. Only available for food banks and food pantries.
- Apply by October 31.
To apply for this opportunity, applicants must:
- Be a partner agency of a Regional Food Bank in Oregon.
- Serve rural, remote and/or Reservation communities. Metro areas (pop. 40,000+) are not eligible for this
- opportunity.
- Be an IRS-designated 501(c)3 non-profit or a government entity, including Tribal governments.
- Although faith-based institutions are ineligible for Roundhouse funds, we will do our best to connect them with other aligned supporters. All awards from Roundhouse are subject to the Foundation’s grantmaking policies. Faith-based applicants are encouraged to contact us prior to applying.
