Information on Governor Brown's "Stay At Home" Order
By now, you probably know that Governor Kate Brown has issued an executive order, directing everyone in Oregon to Stay Home, Save Lives. As food assistance providers, we want you to know that you can continue to serve your community, so long as you are following the social distancing requirements set by the Oregon Health Authority.
People are allowed to leave their homes to obtain or provide food, shelter, essential consumer needs, education, health care, or emergency services and to care for family members, household members, elderly person, minors, dependents, persons with disabilities, or other vulnerable persons, pets or livestock.
We are so grateful for the help you are providing to our community! As food assistance sites, your role in providing food is essential. If it would make your staff or volunteers feel more comfortable to travel, we have produced a letter you can carry with you and a sign for your car.
