DESCRIPTION:This 2-hour session is an introduction to understanding how cul
 ture affects the way people communicate. We will learn how culture shapes 
 both what we say and how we say it\, while also understanding and respecti
 ng cultural differences. We’ll focus on two types of communication: direct
  and indirect. Participants will learn how people from high-context cultur
 es (who rely on non-verbal cues and the situation) communicate\, compared 
 to people from low-context cultures (who prefer clear and direct language)
 . The session will end with a look at our own communication styles and pra
 ctical ideas on how to navigate different ways of communicating\, both at
